Herb Garden

The girls love to have their own plants and tend to them for the summer.  This year they chose mostly herbs and each have studied up on their particular herb so they are familiar with how to plant it, tend to it, and in due time harvest it and use it.   So our meals by the end of summer should be quite tasty and our home smelling sweet.   The herbs chosen were chamomile, peppermint, lemon verbena, lavender, chives, lovage, and pineapple mint.

What a beautiful little garden!!

I was enjoying the videos last night on your site. One question...does your daughter, I think it's Christie, take singing lessons and if so, when did she start them. One of my girls has a beautiful singing voice. She is 9 yrs and we want to put her in voice lessons. We just don't know when we should.

Love your herb garden!!! I posted my yogurt recipe on Feb. 3, if you want to see how I make it. I do a gallon at a time - it's suprisingly easy and tons cheaper than buying it at the store. We eat lots so it really helps the budget!!

I didn't even see that you had a new post until today! That is a great idea to use that for a garden! I have debated doing container gardening myself.

What a good idea, I like your planter. Mine are planted out in the yard and I've forgotten what some of the herbs are. We have 11 children and ours are from 35 down to 14, 7 sons and 4 daughters with 16 grandchildren.

What a nice garden!!! I just saw an article on using old leading troughs to plant a garden in. We have a couple. I am thinking of planting strawberries in mine.
