Love the long hair!! All of their hair....beautiful! :)
That is one thing I remember loving to do as a young girl....hair...braiding. I remember doing this all the time to my friends and sisters. Fun... Yep, and my girls had their share of mommy's talents. Now my older girls want their hair cut and styled.
There is a scene from the movie "Picnic at Hanging Rock" (An Aussie classic) in which the boarding school girls sit in a circle and brush one anothers hair. I have always loved the look of it and this looks similar....just a little more modern :-)
We are blessed with 12 children. Our two eldest have been blessed with 5 children so far and each has a wonderful spouse. We have enjoyed 23 years of homeschooling and look forward to many more. We view children as a gift from the Lord and our privilege, duty, joy and honor to teach them His gospel.

Thinking that education is something different from discipling our children is a sure sign that we have been "educated" by the state. Education IS Discipleship.
kenzie
For some reason Kenzie has been interested in learning about the Constitution of the Untied States. She found a book on the shelf by Applewood Books on the Constitution and asked if she could read it. Sure, go ahead!! Never mind that it is far above her grade level. So she reads the first 3 paragraphs and looks at me and says: "I think Obama should read this book!! Then as she walked off I heard her say: "course he probably doesn't even know about it! (meaning the constitution)"

Four Steps That Lead to Peace
Be desirous of doing the will of another, rather than thy own. Choose always to have less, rather than more. Seek always the lowest place, and be inferior to everyone. Wish always, and pray, that the will of God may be wholly fulfilled in thee.
commonplace books in our homeschools
Commonplacing is the practice of entering literary excerpts and personal comments into a private journal. These are key in our homeschool and I am amazed at how much the children learn from using this method. To learn more click the picture.

A Point to Ponder
If we continue to send our children to Caesar for their education, we need to stop being surprised when they come home as Romans. Dr. Voddie Baucham
