101 reasons as to why I homeschool

This is absolutely INSANE and UNACCEPTABLE. There is nothing more to say. Well, there is but cyberspace isn't big enough.

Good morning! I just wanted to let you know that I have recently stumbled upon your blog and thoroughly enjoy it!! I have read through much of it and have found some much needed encouragement. We seem to be like minded in many areas. I have three daughters, although in MY perfect plan I would have a house full. Alass.....I am a single homeschooling mother now. It's just me and Jesus. So thank you for sharing and giving me a real life example. Have a blessed day!!

Insane is almost not even a strong enough word is it? What complete chaos!

Yes, Praise God for homeschooling and that we can let our kids be kids instead of little adults!

Oh my, oh my, oh my. This is crazy, to say the least. Amazing to me each day to see our society and how quickly it is degenerating. Thanks for sharing this. I will be passing along the link.

This is disgusting! I really liked how poised the lady arguing against this was. We need more young people like this that aren't afraid to go against the powerful media.

Insane and sick. This is really a sign of the times. It scares me to think where that generation of 5 & 6 years will end up in 10 - 15 years time. Oh Lord, come quickly!!

I know that in our local public school...which is supposed to be the BEST around...there are 12 and 13 year olds openly talking about their heterosexual activities AND homosexual activities. What really concerns me is that little girls and boys can TRULY love their best friend and get it confused with sexual love! If it is taught to them that it is "normal", they may never get out of their confusion and they will start acting on it!
And people wonder why I homeschool....

Hi Tricia...just to answer your question about the Shakespeare source. It's a tape of Macbeth I found for 50 cents at a library sale, and then we use the book also. I like the ones that say "Shakespeare Made Easy" because they have the understandable version on the right, and the harder version on the left.

We do use the Lamb's or Beautiful Stories from Shakespeare for the younger ones, so the older kids have heard a simpler version over the years before I give them this one.

I've heard over the years that this was coming...I'm glad that some are speaking out against it. Katie did a fine job. Our local government institution(public school) has one of the highest teen preganacies around...the young girls seem to wear their preganacies as a badge of honor. So sad!

Thanks for visiting my blog the other day from Tamara's blog. What a beautiful family you have. Please feel free to stop by any time. Blessings to you and yours!

Where have things gotten? This is sick and completely demented! Grateful there are voices out there as mine just seems too small. Thanks for sharing.

This is just plain awful! I remember when I was around 12-13 yrs old back in the early 80's I had a "sex ed" class in school. I'm sure it's nothing at all like they are now teaching...anyway...I remember thinking in my pre-teen mind how I was going to lose my virginity at the age of 16..thinking that this was a "norm" for teens. My thought was "Hey they showed on the video so why not right?"

Oh PLEASE!! I don't know what the government thinks they are trying to prevent by showing children this stuff....Not purity.

really sad!!
